Eid Celebration

Eid was celebrated in Orchids-The International school, in accordance with the festivity associated with the festival on Thursday, 8/8/13.
The students of VIII and IX classes gave a presentation on the festival and the significance behind it. They informed about the strict penance and the prolonged fasting that precedes the festival. Details were given about how the final day of Ramzan-the holy month of the Muslims, is celebrated after the sighting of the moon. It was followed by an Eid song by the pre-primary.
Boys wearing kurta pyjamas hugged one another, wishing ID-MUBARAK.

The principal, Mrs.Mona Mehdi in her address to the students, told them that religious tolerance and brotherhood are an integral part of the Indian culture and a must for the development of the nation and a healthy soceity.
