The students of Class IX were assigned the theme ‘Goa- The
Pearl of the East’ from 10-12-12 to 14-12-12 as a part of the thematic
assembly. The first day was a narration
of the location of the state along with a PowerPoint presentation on its famous
churches. On the second day, information of the famous beaches was shared. The
assembly started off on the next day with a description of the Goa carnival
and the students presented a mini-parade depicting the fun and frolic associated
with it. The next day, the girls presented the limba, a traditional dance. On the fifth and final day, a quiz was
conducted. It was altogether a learning experience for all the students of the
class and the entire school also enjoyed it.
