The students of Class
IX were assigned the theme – Mrs. Indira Gandhi - The woman of the Millennium
for their assembly. The first day was a depiction of an election campaign by
Mrs. Indira Gandhi which she raised the slogan ’Garibi Hatao’. On the second day,
they depicted a scene from her childhood when she had started ‘Vanar Sena’ as
part of the nationalist activities. They conducted a quiz for all the students
on the third day. On the last day, there was a speech by her followed by a
narration of her assassination. It was altogether a very informative week.
