The theme, ’Sarojini Naidu –The
Nightingale of India’ was assigned to the
Students of Class IX for their assembly
presentation. On the First day, a
brief introduction about her was given.
On the second day, a skit from her
childhood was enacted. On the third day,
the poem, ‘Palanquin Bearers’
was narrated. On the fourth day, a scene
depicting her popular poem, ’The
Bangle sellers’ was enacted. On the
fifth day, her role in Indian politics and
her literary works were discussed. A
quiz was conducted on the last day of
the week. It was
altogether a very informative week
